H1-B quota got filled up on May 26, 2006. You have to wait till April 1, 2007 to apply for H1-B, unless the company falls in the exempt category (non-profit, university...). If the SKIL bill is passed in the lame duck session it can change things as well.
In your best interest is to contact an attorney that can help you with the details.

Hi All,

I just gave my fingerprints today. I got a match warning for almost all my fingers. I dont remember giving all my finger prints to USCIS at any point of time.. At the max, I would have given thumb and index finger when i travelled.. does this mean i am in trouble?

Status : H1B Visa
GC Status : I-140 Approved in EB3
Priority Date : May 2004
Years on H1B: 9 years
H1B Expire date: 01/2012

Please advice if i can change my employer now or it will be too risky. I was hoping to accept new positions if new employer is willing to sponsor a h1b and green card from begining. So i can retain my previous PD.

Hello,

I joined and contributed already to the IV although I am not yet on the GC queue. I support you all with my heart.

I have a different concern about PERM filing. My application will be EB2 with Ms + 4 years as Senior Soft Eng, and my lawyer asked my manager to create the business necessity letter for MS degree. He is not experienced with this kind of paperwork and the lawyer seems to be just not helpful rather demanding... I was wondering if somebody in IV had to deal with this business necessity letter. Any information would be helpful...

My case is like this, my original labor application was filed in Dec '04 under EB3 and it has been approved in Feb '07. Is it possible for me to file i140 in EB2. My paralegal says you can but just wanted to gather more information.

As well we can tell them that probably we may not arrived yet to launch a life changing product,the moment we arrive there, WE promise that we may never talk about immigration specially EB-reforms.

Yes, with out a backup up of big institutions(this case MIT) this dream or idea would have just lived like any wish or it would have taken 3 or 4 times longer.

PS: Not sure about pranav's immigration status.
