I welcome your stickiness. This idea is not new to the forum. Go and search the threads. We have an active agenda of sending the faxes, writing LTEs, follwoing up senators and their offices after discussions, writing to news anchors, talking heads etc.

Good thing you are doing and not talking, but lot of members are giving good suggestions, like contacting Professors who attended the Hearing this morning in the judiciary commitee meetings. Isnt that a new idea that was brought about only today...
We need more ideas and more action as we go along.

Why do you say 2001 folks would get NOF? Im a 2001 Aug but non-rir. Got my 45 DL in Dec 05 but nothing after that. My case was a SWA xfr. Does your analysis only apply to RIR?

I have analyzed the tracker from Rajiv Khanna's site. Here are some inputs.
Cases transferred from federal offices :
There is no set trend in processing of these cases. There are a substantial number of approvals.
Cases transferred from SWA offices :
There is clear trend here. The last 3/4 months PBEC has sent out approvals from mid 2002. There are a number of PD June 2002 approvals and some PD July, august, september '02. There is an effort to push mid 2002 cases in PBEC.
The folks left over from 2001 may receive NOF or some query. I am not sure.
If you are a SWA cases from 2001 you should be talking to someone...your lawyer...employer...

What was the result of second MTR, Is that dismissed too...

Enough of serious talk. Lets all have a lighter moment. Chandu, and others, thanks for all the hard work you have put in. Please take a moment to enjoy this joke. It contains the word sex, yet is very clean.
A 11 year old boy goes to his dad and asks �Daddy what is sex?�. Poor daddy was not prepared to face this sudden unexpected question. Anyways, he gathers himself and replies back �Son, this is going to take sometime to explain. Why don�t we go to McDonald�s for lunch.� As they are driving to McDee�s, the father is trying to rearrange his thoughts to answer his son�s question. They have a nice lunch and the father is finally able to answer his son�s question using the birds and the bees as examples (at this time the two bees at the coke machine are probably complaining to each other, why all fathers never talk about the actual characters). Anyway, after listening to his father speak. The son replies back, drawing out a piece of paper �It is still confusing to me. How do I fit all that in this tiny box.� On the piece of paper are two boxes with M and F next to it.

I have pending 485, used Bank of America for my home loan. No problems whatsoever. And, I know loads of people who have bought homes while on H1B or pending 140/485. I believe 2009-2011 will probably be the best time to buy a home. If you can afford it and if you have job security, then you must buy one (rent it if you dont want to live). The aprs available currently is unbelievable (of course, good credit history and the amount you put down will decide mainly).

Have another PERM labor approved but am hoping this one gets approved so I can get the earlie PD.
Going by the recent trend (per spreadsheets generated by someone at immigrationportal) I am actually thinking there might be a chance all the BEC backlogs get cleared by December, if not by the stated goal of September.

Let there be discussins, there is nothing wrong in floating ideas.. allow members to express. Not every idea needs to be implemented.
This sort of arrogance is not going help anybody's cause.
Just my two cents...
All these are good for chit chat any way. If we had the clout to implement laws that were based on figments of our imaginations, we probably would not be in line for a green card. Nothing wrong with ideas, except the potential for implementation of the amendment needs to go through IV core team and then sent across to any senators or the USCIS. We don�t want to look foolish be ridiculed for visionary ideas that will not see the light of the day.

No, this is only the processing time for labor application, the whole process took a lot longer than this. I first submitted my document to the lawyer in the last week of January this year. Lawyer prepared my case, wages approval etc. it took around 1+ month to get preventing wages. then advertisement, recruitment process etc.
almost 8 month to finish all the requirements before the company could actually file the labor application.

I am on H1 and AOS and I refinanced my house at 5% . There were no issues and no questions. Just all the usual documents - W2 , paystubs etc etc . It was with a local bank too and not with any high profile institution.
You mean Fancy, big building institution, I think. There are no high-profile banks left anymore. They lost their integrity in screwing people and are not to be trusted.

That is not true, my lawyer who is very influential and he has some good contacts he told me that this year spill-over would be different form last year. I was stupid so didn�t believe him about July 2007, and paying it for now for not having EAD.
I know this is hard to believe especially if something comes from lawyer.

i dont get it..why r folks so happy...i agree its current till 06..but that does not mean that people are goin to get green cards...it just means that till 06 whoever had not got a chance to apply for 485 can now apply...congrats to them...but i beleive there are not many people like that..
