    My suggestion would be.

    If your PD is After Jan 2004, you better get started and look for a position in EB2. If your PD is before Jan 2004, you wait and watch until end of this year and then make a informed decision. But in the long run , it makes lot of sense to be in EB2 if your job requirement is eligible for it.

    Also take a look at the trend of the PERM processing. as per 2007 stats 40% of the cases got struck in audit process.

    Folks - I would just say - we must not look into things through a "convex mirror". racism and discrimination are big words and knowingly or unknowingly people do treat each other differently at different times and in different circumstances.

    Most folks here are Indian and being indian we always feel that a Eurpoean looks down upon us.

    When you have a wonderful "Air India" - why bother to even talk about other arilines? When you live in USA where everyone is treated the same - why bother about an 8 hour flight where air hostess was not pleasing or something else.

    On Another note I have seen people claiming "Air India" as lousy toilets, useless old flight attendents, - I have seen people treating these flight attendents with attitude - finding fault with them etc.. A westerner will not do this.

    I travelled in Air India this January and I can ONLY say - I loved it. I travelled in Delta, Lufthansa, Kuwait, Emirates, KLM etc.. and Air India was the best - just because I felt very nice about it. I liked Delta too.

    Now, coming back to attitude - Air Hostess - some of them do have a lot of attitude - this is common among all airliners. I remember one air hostess who was anoyed with my kid as she was crying loud and I heard her saying to another passenger "I am getting a headache" - but then there were some air hostesses who actually played with my kid - gave her lot of stuff to eat and play, one of them even took pictures with my kid.

    Now - lets discuss the issue - the airline put all Indians in a lounge because of visa rules - lets not blame the airline here. Indian govt MUST take it with France fovt and work out something that helps Injdian nationals transitting through France. To do such a thing, Indian govt must have a pressing reason and for that - regular travellers to Fraqnce must express concern and let govt know how beneficial it is to both Indian and France.

    On another note - I see so many people love to talk about airlines and how people are treated, i would recommend that we open a thread for each airline and post some genuine issues with airlines like Transi visa issues, attitude probllems, rude behaviour, missing baggage, bad flights etc.... we can even write good things if we come across.

    It is natural to bad mouth people or things, we cannot expect everything or everyone to be like what we expect - we can atleast expect that it is just the way things are.

    mheggade, ur calc looks good but with the exception of Level II, I think most of the people who got Labor with MS+0 (or +1...) will have Level II. my attorney applied MS+0 even though I was having 6 yrs of exp when I applied.

    Do you have any thoughts on how many people could be in this category wage level II in EB-2 I?

    Hi,
    I want to know weather can I apply AP for my wife while she is in US post it to India if she has to go to India before it gets approved.

    As there is the situation my wife need to go to India in July and I am planning to apply for her AP, can I send it over to her once the AP is approved or dose she need to be present in US at the time of approval.

    Apart from Deniel notice I also got LUD on I 140.

    Could it be related to old employer revoking I 140?
    Since I have transfered after 180 and did Ac 21 - am I covered.

    Prince - Did you get any LUD on 140 on the day you got this deniel e mail?

    You should be EB10 and not EB2! Some folks in this forum are really crazy!

    There is no relationship between approval/duration of EAD and movement of PDs.

    By the way, since India won all the previous encounters with Pak in world cups, India will win on Wednesday!

    Most EB2's who are talking on this forum are idiotic, egostic and too much of themselves to think straight. Case in point Smugbee, SNathan and TonyHK. Since they don't have ead they want ead and thats all they care about. As long as they get to file 485 and get ead they dont care.

    When an eb3 complains about waiting for GC he/she is a whiner and has to recognize the superiority of an EB2 getting GC before EB3 even if teh EB2 is 1 year in thsi country and EB3 has been waiting for 12 years.

    When an eb2 complains about not having ead his concerns are valid and nothing else is more important on IV thean that

    We have seen in the past years EB3 ROW got huge visa bonanza at the cost of EB2 I & C. And now apparently EB2 I & C is getting rightly deserved visa bonanza.
    How about asking DOS to give similar visa numbers to EB3 I & C as a one time exception. I know people will say it is against law, but in my opinion law is fuzzy enough for this to happen.

    DOS can give explanations like "Visa numbers will be given to oldest PDs or some thing". Per my calculation EB3 I needs 68K visas to move past 2003.

    We (IV) may have to make representation to Secretary of State and try and convince her.

    Finally, I got the PIO card. It did not take long after sending a $20.00 MO, I got the PIO card in about a months time. The total time it took me was about 2 and 1/2 months...although they claim the processing time would be at the max. 45 business days.

    The PIO card looks pathetic. Its hand written and the passport like book looks too cheap. Crap looking PIO card.

    I saw the new PIO processing fee, includes the return postage, which is a good thing. No more calls to anybody asking to send again the postage fee...seems to me the Govt. of India, plugged this little hole.

    Do not depend the processing of your papers entirely to the lawyer or their paralegal. Be proactive. Always demand a copy of the application prior to the actual filing. You will be shocked to see so many errors. It's also good to check IV news once in a while. If it wasn't for IV updates, our company would not have been able to correct our lawyer's mistake in filing for my H1 extension. He insisted that USCIS never grant a 3-year extension even if I-140 approved. I showed him IV success stories and he apologize for his error.

    Remember, lawyers look at their clients as $$$. The more services they can create, the more $$$ they can get.

    Anybody knows what they will do about the whole firm being audited.

    As far as I know, if one goes to UK on a work permit, the spouse can start working from the beginning itlsef. The professional and the spouse get their automatic PR in 4 years just by being there. There are similar examples in other countries, but, the fact is that if we have to be in the US, we have to go by "their rules".

    I admire US administration's guts to openly admit and declare that they are biased and work on a case by case basis or at will when it comes to looking out for their own interests, even in the immigration (Not to mention, they look confused as well).

    For example, how is a spouse of an L1 visa holder anyway different from a spouse of and H1 ? The difference is that the US government presents the L2 spouses with an EAD at arrival and restricts the H4 spouses to home.

    Well, I think we should take one thing at a time, and the current task in hand at IV is more than enough to comprehend and fight for, adding the H4 issue eventually may add value, but not at this juncture.
